WOW—what a week.
The team is officially closing deals with eXp, our backend operations are getting dialed in, and life in Utah is humming along. But let’s talk about the real stuff.
On Monday, I made a post sharing that I’m officially at zero. While that might sound crazy to some, I was mentally prepared for this rebuild. I know people are shocked that I would make such a big move, but here’s the thing—I never changed my lifestyle as my rev share grew before. That money has always gone straight into an investment account, so from a day-to-day perspective? Nothing changes so mentally, it’s not a mind f.
Big Wins, Big Pauses, and a Reality Check
This week, I had a large team that was set to onboard in the next 2 weeks tell me they were putting things on hold. It didn’t feel right, so they pressed pause. Of course, it was a bummer because I like them a lot, and I know the collaboration would’ve been next level, but I get it. These decisions are BIG, and change—no matter how beneficial—is still painful.
But you know what? There was a blessing in disguise.
It means I’m not coming out of the gate with 200 agents. Instead, I get to build this thing one by one, just like everyone else. And that fires me up!
Three independent agents committed this week and started the onboarding process, and I could not be more pumped. The rebuild is happening. Brick by brick. One by one.
The Zoom Call That Shook Me
So, in true “let’s keep it real” fashion… let’s talk about the Zoom call.
I decided to host a “Why eXp” call with my friends. People were curious, and I wanted to share the vision. Now, I don’t love these types of calls because I think people expect me to bash my old company—and that will never be me. We can all win. The best company is the one that’s best for you.
But five minutes in… we got hacked. And I’m not talking a little “oops” moment. A giant, explicit D pic got thrown up on the screen. It shocked everyone.
And then, three minutes later? They started dropping racial slurs.
I was shaken. Not because I’m a prude, but because this past week has been a lot. The shock of it all hit me, and I started to cry. (Which, if you know me, is a rare occasion.) I decided the call wasn’t meant to be and ended it.
What Happened Next Was Pure Magic
The rest of the crew stayed on and flooded me with love. Five straight minutes of messages in the chat. DMs. Texts. Flowers. Calls. Leo, the CEO, was calling before the Zoom even ended.
It was a reminder of what I’ve already seen firsthand—eXp has this reputation of being siloed and divided by who your sponsor is. But my experience? Pure love. Support. Community. Collaboration.
I’ve had meetings with multiple networks this week about how we can come together, create something cool, and—most importantly—provide massive value to the eXp community.
Ending the Week on a High Note
I wrapped up the week hosting 40 team and business owners for a two-day mastermind—part of the Inner Circle program that Justin and I run. We meet three times a year and at Spring Break to level up not just our businesses, but our lives.
And let me tell you… this weekend was exactly what I needed. These are my people. My tribe. I see them, and they see me. We grow together.
It isn’t about brokerages or brands—it’s about connection. We mapped out our year, formed accountability groups, swam in the craters, did breathwork, and worked on ourselves as humans. Yes, we talked business, but the theme this weekend was growing from the inside out.
The messages I received after this weekend? Incredible. And that’s what it’s all about.
I’m still at zero in rev share, but that’s exactly where I expected to be. And this week? Watch for a few announcements—one by one, this thing is growing.
We’re just getting started. 🚀🚀
